Any Queenslander who bought an unregistered ticket should check their numbers.

LOTTO fans are frantically checking their tickets in Queensland to see if they’re a whopping $35 million richer.

The hunt is on for the owner of an unregistered Powerball ticket that was purchased on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and came up a winner in Thursday night’s jackpot draw.

Tatts Lotteries spokeswoman Elissa Lewis said the company could not reveal exactly where the ticket had been purchased – at least not yet.

“We want give the winner an opportunity to come forward with some level of privacy,” she said.

“But it is an unregistered ticket so we’ve got to wait for that person to check the ticket and release it’s the winning ticket and contact us.”

Ms Lewis said anyone who bought an unregistered ticket should check their numbers to see if they have won a share of the $70 million jackpot.

The winning numbers are 32, 8, 5, 40, 19, 7 and the Powerball was 12.

The two division one entries won $35,904,620.67 each, a sum sure to change the winners’ lives forever.

A syndicate of 15 people took out the New South Wales entry, gaining $2.4 million each, along with other divisional prizes, because of their System 9 type entry.

Another 1.7 million other entries won smaller prizes in the draw in divisions two to eight, totalling $36.8 million.

Those who missed out have a chance to get their hands on a $15 million Oz Lotto jackpot next Tuesday.
